SAU 43, TPN Team for Program: Program Focuses on Health Ed and Violence Prevention

NEWPORT- A notice sent home with students of Richards Elementary School has raised concerns with some community members. The letter, a returning curriculum announcement, is a collaboration between the Newport School District and Turning Points Network (TPN).

The letter, signed by Richards Elementary School principal Robert Clark, outlined a program that will focus on health education and violence prevention. TPN will be training staff on speaking with students on topics such as asking for help, feelings, bodies, babies and asking for permission….

Domestic violence nonprofit has new Sullivan County headquarters

CLAREMONT — Turning Points Network, a nonprofit that provides support to survivors of sexual and domestic violence in Sullivan County, has moved into a new headquarters on Broad Street.

The move, effective Jan. 23, marks the culmination of more than five years of planning due to a space crunch at the organization’s previous School Street location. In 2018, John and Carolyn Pierzchala gave Turning Points the building at 231 Broad Street. In 2020, after raising funds from various government and private sources, the organization went out to bid for what it expected would be a $1.41 million project.

TPN’s New Director

CLAREMONT — Turning Points Network has announced that as of January 1, 2023, Pascale N. Graham, Ph.D will be acting as the new Executive Director for Sullivan County. Dr. Graham has stated that outgoing Executive Director Deborah Mozden has decided that after 40 years of service, she is going to retire, but that she intends to continue to lend her wealth of knowledge and experience as she transitions out of her position.

Turning Points Network’s mission is to enhance the safety and well being of victims and survivors domestic violence, sexual abuse and stalking through empowerment and advocacy; to create a community responsive to all victims and survivors through education, outreach and accountability and to empower the community to establish a safer culture.

Graham’s education in combination with her time spent volunteering and employment history has certainly made her a clear choice to begin the transitionary period from Assistant Director to Executive Director.

NH nonprofit that helps survivors of domestic violence moving to new facility

CLAREMONT, N.H. (WCAX) – A New Hampshire nonprofit that provides support to domestic violence victims throughout Sullivan County is preparing to move to a new location and welcome in a new executive director.

The Turning Points Network based in Claremont helps upward of 1,000 victim-survivors of domestic violence every year. And officials say it is a problem that is not going away.

“The only way we are going to end violence in Sullivan County is if we work on preventing it,” Pascale Graham said.

Graham has been an advocate for victims her entire adult life. Now, she’s taking on the role of executive director of the Turning Points Network in its new facility. The nonprofit supports victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and sex trafficking…

Domestic violence agency names leader

CLAREMONT — Turning Points Network, a violence prevention nonprofit serving Sullivan County, will begin a new era of leadership next week with the naming of Pascale Graham as organization’s new executive director.

Graham, who currently serves as assistant director, will step into the lead role beginning on Sunday, in succession of the outgoing executive director, Deborah Mozden, who is retiring after 40 years of service.

Founded in 1977, Turning Points provides direct assistance and support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence as well as school-based and community educational programs pertaining to healthy relationships, safety and understanding sexual and domestic abuse. The nonprofit’s support services include a 24-hour crisis and support line, emergency shelter and safe home network, peer support counseling, legal advocacy, referrals and information resources.
