Whelen Engineering and GreenSource Fabrication “Step Up” to be Honorary Chairs for the largest event of its kind in Sullivan County.
Claremont, NH—Community supporters of Turning Points Network (TPN) are gearing up to participate in the 19th Annual Steppin’ Up to End Violence 5K Walk and Fun Run to be held on May 3, 2025. Funds raised from the event through community participation directly support Turning Points Network’s mission to end domestic violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking. Preventing violence through education programming is a major focus for TPN, and Steppin’ Up both emphasizes and supports that initiative.
TPN is pleased to announce that Whelen Engineering and GreenSource Fabrication of Charlestown, NH, and Chester, Conn., will be serving as the honorary chairs. As the honorary chairs of the 2025 Steppin’ Up walk, Whelen and GreenSource will support TPN in its mission to end domestic violence and provide prevention education throughout Sullivan County.

Steppin’ Up provides both awareness of this work and much-needed support.”
Last year’s event exceeded TPN’s expectations and, through strong community engagement, the nonprofit raised more than $103,000 to fund essential services in 2025. Encouraged by this overwhelming support, TPN has raised the bar in 2025 to $110,000. New this year, the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation has also pledged a gift of $50,000 if TPN meets its campaign goal.
“We are fortunate in Sullivan County that our community has been supportive of Turning Points Network and comes together annually for this event to support victim-survivors,” says Graham. Through the last 18 years they have consistently walked alongside us as we work together to raise awareness to end relationship abuse in our community. This year’s success will ensure we can continue providing these critical services to all who need them.”
More than 50 teams are expected to “Step Up,” along with dozens of sponsors and hundreds of donors who are pledging their support for the Saturday, May 3rd event. More than 600 participants will follow a highly visible route starting at 10 a.m. at Claremont Middle School and continue their walk through historic downtown Claremont.
TPN’s team of skilled advocates provides safety planning and housing services through comprehensive, trauma-informed, survivor-centered assistance. The agency offers school and community-based prevention education and outreach that reach thousands of students each year. With donations provided by events like Steppin’ Up, TPN is able to provide support services and educational programs free of charge, and help survivors with necessities such as food, transportation, prescriptions, clothing, and household items to victim-survivors of abuse.
